Web Ordering
Once logged into the ALS web selection database, you will have access to the new release forthcoming new titles and a comprehensive backlist, carefully chosen to be relevant to Public Library collections. Bibliographic details, annotations, age ranges and jacket images for most titles are provided for confident selection. If a title is not currently listed, a quick entry form is provided for as much information as you have available (ISBN, title, publisher) and can easily be added to your order (we’ll procure just about anything still in print).
Specific accounts can be flagged as URGENT for Patron Requests or bestsellers and all orders can be allocated to multiple branch libraries as you go, if required.
Find what you want easily, with all fiction books and media categorised by Genre, and nonfiction by Dewey. Simple and advanced searches help you to locate specific items quickly. Our simple on-line ordering with automated MARC records to load into your library system will complete the process and make ordering and acquisitions one step easier.
Check the ALS new releases each month to ensure that you never miss a title of significance or interest. Ordering titles before the cut-off date means your library is assured of receiving your hot new titles as they are hitting the local booksellers’ shelves.
