Book Selection That Makes Sense!
ALS does the work which revolutionises timely access to selecting and ordering the books you need in your library. 3000-4000 forthcoming titles each month are hand-picked as being of potential relevance to Australian public libraries and listed on the ALS Web Site for ordering. You see bibliographic data, annotations prices, age ranges and often jacket images, with a new list every month. Each new list is 2-3 months in advance of publication, and previous lists are kept for backlist ordering.
The books (& multimedia) are cleverly presented and categorised by genre (non-fiction titles by Dewey) making it easy to browse for new releases, or locate a particular title. Simple online ordering with automatic MARC records to upload into your library system can make your life very easy.
Never miss a new title! Viewing the ALS web site each month means that you'll never miss a title of significance or interest. By ordering these titles via the ALS web site, you are assured of receiving your stocks as they're hitting the bookshop's shelves.
